We live in a place and in a time that individuality and self-fullfilment are much appreciated ideals. We value our personal freedom and we want to follow our emotions and desires.
But it might be that we also want to have meaningful and trustworthy relationships which mean that at times, we put the interests of another person first.
Creating a deeper awareness to our bodies, can help us to have a wider perspective on what we really want. It allows us to follow our hearts and wishes while finding a way to include the people that are important for us and avoid unnecessary hurt. It also allows us to ask for the commitment that we wish for, without feeling that we are restricting the freedom of someone else and leave when our needs are not respected.
